More Long-haul Services on Cards from Swiss this Winter

The 2023 winter schedule of Swiss is out, wherein the carrier has plans to increase its long-haul services. It will introduce additional flights to Asia, Africa, and the US.

The airline announced doubling its services to up to 14 in a week from Zurich and Geneva to Miami. Additionally, services will be available to New York JFK (up to 21 times weekly), Montreal, Chicago, Boston, and New York EWR (seven times per week), as well as Los Angeles and San Francisco (six times per week).

The frequency of air travel services to Singapore will increase to daily while those to Shanghai will increase from thrice a week to six times a week. Seven times a week services are available for long-haul routes to Asia, connecting Mumbai, Delhi, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

The airline will also operate daily flights to Johannesburg, South Africa and Cairo, Egypt throughout the winter.

Tamur Goudarzi Pour, the chief commercial officer of Swiss, stated that the carrier is still experiencing good demand “despite all the political and economic uncertainties.”

He said, “We’re very pleased to be further expanding our range of long-haul services this coming winter… But while doing so, it remains our paramount objective to provide our passengers with stable and reliable flight operations.”

In total, the carrier will be serving 21 long-haul destinations in the upcoming winter season, from 29 October 2023 to 30 March 2024.
