Travellers from Poland reaching Spain since Monday, September 27, have been subject to the requirement of additional entry rules, as the Spanish Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare has added the country to its list of high-risk areas.
At the same time, Czechia’s regions of Moravian-Silesian and Prague, as well as Hungary’s regions of Pest and Northern Hungary, are now part of the same list.
Travellers reaching Spain from countries and regions in the high-risk list are subject to the requirement of proof of vaccination against COVID-19, recovery from the virus in the recent months, or negative test results for Coronavirus, in case the traveller holds neither of the two first.
On the other hand, the Ministry has removed from the list several regions of Denmark and Italy, after a drop in the number of COVID-19 cases in their territory, as follows:
Travellers from these regions reaching Spain are no longer subject to the obligation to present proof of vaccination, recovery, or negative COVID-19 test results.
A week ago, the Danish region of North Jutland had also been removed from the list. With the same update, the whole territories of Romania and Slovakia were included on the list, on the other hand.
Since September 27, the list of high-risk countries and regions in the EU and Schengen Area consists of the following:
