Turkey aims to be a “logistics superpower” by 2053: President Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey aims to come to a logistics superpower as part of the country’s 2053 vision.

The Europe-Asia-Africa trade triangle, in which Turkey is located, offers great openings for the country, especially in the field of transportation, he said at a press conference after a press meeting on Tuesday, Xinhua news agency reported.

For this purpose, the number of harborage installations will increase from 217 presently to 255 in 2053, Erdogan added.

The Canal Istanbul design is of critical significance in terms of reducing the boat business in the Bosphorus, the chairman noted.
