UK Logistics Update – Blackbrook Upstaking Its Investments in Assets

In Nottinghamshire, Blackbrook declared investing in a Class A logistics facility development spread over a 190,000 sq. ft. area near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

M1 motorway’s key junction will be the locality of the facility. The motorway connects Leeds and Sheffield to London. Being the UK’s main north-south arterial route, it is highly suitable for both regional and national distribution. Thus, it will be more beneficial as 85% population will be easily accessible.

And, this includes local suppliers in prompt vicinity like Amazon, XPO, Co-up, and UPS.

Local bus routes and the UK rail network, with direct trains to Nottingham, Birmingham, Derby, and Sheffield, provide great access to local public transportation at the location.

The new development is targeted to complete in July 2023. It includes a BREEAM Excellence, Class-A Logistics Facility designed for a single occupant. The development features modern specifications over the typical standard that also includes clear heights of 15 meters.

This information comes after Blackbrook recently disclosed its investment in the construction of a 4,00,000 sq. ft logistics complex in South Yorkshire.

“We’re encouraged by Blackbrook’s growing momentum in the UK market in locations with limited supply and where there is still strong tenant demand resulting from the broader secular trends in e-commerce, as well as an increasing requirement for supply-chain efficiency, sustainability, and resilience,” said Blackbrook’s CEO and Co-founder Arvi Luoma.

He further added, “The project’s favourable lease dynamics, excellent standards, and a central position for logistics make this investment a fantastic fit for our rapidly expanding European portfolio.”
Blackbrook’s MD, Jon Strand commented, “Labour availability has quickly become a priority for logistics occupiers. And so we know that the local area’s large and highly skilled workforce will be an attractive proposition for tenants alongside class-leading specifications. Its positioning in one of the UK’s most important national logistics locations with excellent connectivity both north to the major cities of Sheffield, Leeds, and Manchester as well as south towards Birmingham and London will also fundamentally contribute to its appeal.”
